I have 2 cisco 1410 wireless bridges approx. 4Km away from each other. One side has a sector antenna and the other is using a dish. When I attempt to connect them with the sector as the root, it associates and loses connection after a few seconds and keeps repeating this.
If I switch sides and have the root at the dish side, it associates and stays connected. Although it is connected, throughput seems to be 8Mb from the dish side but only 1 - 1.5Mb from the sector side at best. It sometimes still loses connection all together. I was hoping to setup a multipoint connection which is the reason for the sector and the need for the root to be on this side. I have a connection (1Km) that works fine to the sector antenna. Clear line of site to both locations.
I also tried using two dishes, but got the same results. RSSI fluctuates from 1.5V to .336.
Tried raising power, lowering to slowest possible speed.
Any suggestions??
