Hi,
In 1602E following options can be chosen under dot11Radio0 interface:
AP1(config-if)#antenna ?
a-antenna use antenna A
ab-antenna use antennas A and B
abc-antenna use antennas A, B, and C
If a-antenna is chosen only one antenna will be used for transmit/receive, right?
If so, in what conditions only one antenna has advantage over 3 antenna?
TIA

That is actually antenna diversity, where in order to decrease the fading effects, we use array antennae ( multiple, A, B, C ). So where ever the signal travels from a distance and has obstacles which may decrease the signal power ,we use diff. antenna to send-receive the signal so that the resultant signal should be of fair power and finally the information could be fetched properly. Now if you are confident that the line of sight , LOS is clear ,no obstacles you may choose right ( single )
