I have 1815i access point, OS 8.5.140, I want to create 4 SSID mapped to different VLANs

- when access point boots, it gets to "(Cisco Controller)>" prompt, not ap# prompt

- attached files shows booting output, and GUI, they are not as described in config guides. so I can't follow the steps.

The 1815 can use Mobility express.

you need to configure it via the mobility express controller

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/controller/technotes/8-3/b_Cisco_Mobility_Express_Deployment_Guide/b_Cisco_Mobility_Express_Deployment_Guide_chapter_010.html

it's the only access point I have right now. can it be configured with SSID's mapped to different VLAN's.

yes you map the WLANs to different VLANs and need port connecting to AP to be a trunk port allowing the VLANs

the access point boots with "(cisco controller)>" prompt, not ap#, also GUI is different that what is described in guides.

how can I configure it

Configure AP as master AP, it will act as WLC as well.

see the example here:

https://www.lookingpoint.com/blog/mobility-express

https://keepcalmandping.online/2019/03/18/cisco-mobility-express-experience/

After Setup, configure the port on switch side as: The following is a sample switch port configuration.
Interface GigabitEthernet1/0/37
description » Connected to Master AP «
switchport trunk native vlan 122
switchport trunk allowed vlan 10,20,122,123,124
switchport mode trunk
