1832 AP NOT JOINING TO 9115 EMBEDDED CONTROLLER

we have an existing 9115 embedded controller and we want to add one1832i acess point and join it to the embedded controller. We are having an error with"Discarding msg CAPWAP_WTP_EVENT_REQUEST(type 9) in CAPWAP state: Image Data(10)". The 1832 ap is running 8.10.185.0 (active) and 8.2.141.0 (backup) and the 9115 EWC is running 17.3.5.42 IOS images. We tried to reimage the 1832 ap to the compatible (ap1g4-k9w8-tar.153-3.JPJ8a.tar) image but the response of the AP is "AP2C0B.E9C2.44D8#ap-type mobility-express tftp://172.16.10.10/ap1g4-k9w8-tar.153-3.JPJ8a.tar Image upgrade not needed, changing AP Type to Mobility Express"
