I'm configuring a 2504 wireless controller with # of 1142 APs, wondering is there an option to turn off the WLC/ APs during after ofice hours? such as turn off power/RF options etc

There is not an option from the wlc. You can maybe use a pdu to power off the wlc on a schedule. I know some switches support shutting PoE ports if you want.

no option on wlc. you can achieve this however if you have WCS or NCS.

If you have WCS / NCS, you could push a template to the controllers. Not sure about the HP swicthes, I have limited experience with those. On Cisco you can you do a time ACL.

What about a "time" ACL on your swicths to do a SHUT to your APs.
