2802i as mobility express controller

I have 25 new access points with 2802i as mobility controller.

Rest of APs are 1815i and 1542 outdoor ap with mobility express software

The problem is 1815 is integrating with controller 2802i as capwap instead of as mobility express ap.

1542 is not being discovered on 2802i controller.

How to resolve this. Please advise.

I have upgrade controller 2802i to latest 8.10

You don't need MobilityExpress on all APs, one is enough for functionality, more can/should be installed with the ME image for redundancy.

If an AP does not join the controller, I would first upgrade that device to the same version as installed on the controller and test again. If it still does not work, the log will likely give you a hint.

I upgraded 2802i to ap3g3 from AIR-AP1815-K9-ME-8-10-151-0.zip.

But for 1815i,and 1542 which image should I use from above?

You find this information in the file "apname_decoder.inc" which is included in the AP image bundle:

AP1815i(ap1g5)
AP1540(ap1g5)

I successfully upgraded 1542 from 8.10.130 to ap1g5

8-10-151-0/ using http option on GUI

But for 1815, transfer through http and tftp is failing for ap1g5. 1815 present version 8-5-140 and I need to upgrade to 8-10-151-0/

Please advise how to upgrade

It says "file not found". What's in the Log of the TFTP-server?

nothing comes on tftp logs. Iam using solarwinds tftp. No logs appear
