We have a 3504 wireless controller that is configured in HA running in version 8.10.130 before upgrading to 8.10.162. We perform the upgrade via Cisco DNA, but unfortunately the standby controller has not been upgraded. What is the best approach on fixing the HA of the controllers? Also we can no longer access the standby controller, is there a way to recover the password?

What state is the HA controller now?
Can the secondary controller be accessed via web or telnet/SSH?

The HA state now is not redundant and the peer state is UNKNOWN - communication down.
The secondary controller can be accessed via SSH only but we cannot login as the credentials are not working.
We also tried consoling the controller and we cant also login.
We tried reloading the secondary controller while we are connected through console and we noticed that the secondary controller is still at version 8.10.130.
First question is, is there a way to recover the password or login the device?
Second is, how can we upgrade the secondary controller? will it sync with the primary if ever we managed to upgrade it?

Password recovery means all the config of the secondary unit will be erased.
And yes, it can be done but only using console.
