3850 to control 2702 APs - license errors

I'm trying to setup my 3850 as a controller to run 2702 APs.  The AP have been previously used with a different switch that is now gone.  I get the following errors on the 3850 when AP is trying to connect:

*Jan 13 04:10:49.586: *%LWAPP-3-AP_DB_ERR1:Switch 1 R0/0: wcm: Unable to find AP 843d.c63e.8b70 entry in the database, could not process delete request
*Jan 13 04:10:49.587: *%CAPWAP-6-DTLS_CONN_ERR2:Switch 1 R0/0: wcm: DTLS connection not found for AP 10.10.0.7 (15015), Controller: 10.10.0.2 (5246) dtls payload
*Jan 13 04:10:49.876: *%LWAPP-3-AP_LICENSE_REQUEST_ERR:Switch 1 R0/0: wcm: License request failed for AP 843d.c63e.8b70 - Check for Controller Licenses

*Jan 13 04:10:49.877: *%CAPWAP-3-AP_DB_ALLOC:Switch 1 R0/0: wcm: Unable to alloc AP entry in database for 10.10.0.7:15015

I think the 3850 has the right license:

Any ideas or suggesions what else can I check?

What firmware is the switch running on?

How can I tell if I have the right licenses?  Here is what I get from RTU license:

switch1#show license right-to-use summary

apcount adder 0 Lifetime

----------------------------------------------

Can I use an evaluation license for now just to get it going? What kind of license would I add? An AP adder license?

So I tried to add the adder licenses by typing the following:

license right-to-use activate apcount 25 slot 1 acceptEULA

And the AP was able to register and join. So it all works!!
