Does anyone know what is the Cisco recommended stable code for the 5520's?  I don't see a "Gold Star" version.

Thanks in advance,

Bob

Hi Bob,

This being a new device will always have issues and we will need to wait little longer for an assurewave release. In the meantime going to 8.2.111.0 would be the best idea!!

For deployments that require new features or hardware support, such as 5520 and 8540 controllers, Mobility Express, 1800 Series Access Points, Airtime Fairness, etc., TAC recommends 8.2.111.0.  For 2800/3800 Series Access Points, TAC currently recommends running 8.2MR2beta (https://supportforums.cisco.com/discussion/13059961/82mr2-beta-availability) or 8.2MR1 escalation code (available upon request from TAC.)

Hi

this is a quite new platform that's why there's no stable version.

The recommendation I will say is look the 8.2.111 release note corrected caveats and non corrected caveats. Compare it with version 8.1.131 and based on your deployment requirements take the one that will be handle all your prerequisites.

Thanks

Here is a TAC recommended code releases.

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/wireless/wireless-lan-controller-software/200046-TAC-Recommended-AireOS.html

Since 5520 is only supported by 8.1.x & 8.2.x and there is no more releases in 8.1.x I would suggest latest 8.2.x to go with.

I think 8.2MR2 due to release end of this month and go with that. Here is the beta of that code if you are interested
