Hi,

I have a 7510 wlc that produces the following output after entering the "show boot" command:

(Cisco Controller) >show boot
Primary Boot Image............................... 8.0.132.108 (default) (active)
Backup Boot Image................................ Error

Has anyone seen this before and do you know why "Error" is listed for the Backup Boot Image?

It could be an bug. I noticed the controller is running an engineering release version.

I'd say more likely backup image is corrupted.

I ended up opening a support case about this but didn't really get an explanation as to why error is appearing for the backup boot image. Copying newer code to the controller moved the active image to the backup boot image slot and made the error go away.
