On "7920 data sheet" it appears "Wireless output power: 100mW Effective Isotropic Radiated Power (EIRP) with scaling at 1, 5, 20, 50, 100mW"

However on "7920 deployment recommendations" it appears "It is highly recommended that access points and clients use the same transmit power to avoid one-way audio.The Cisco Wireless IP Phone 7920 default transmit power is 20 mW" . Still no 7920 on field, so has anyone set up 100 mW on AP and 100 mW on 7920 or is it the 20 mW - 20 mW rule the only recommendation?.

So if the 7920 is configured for FCC regulatory domain, then can transmit up to 100mw. The 7920 antenna has 0 dbi gain unlike the AP though, where usually is minimal of 2 dbi. So you can set the local AP power to the max necessary. Just need to ensure that the client power is also set to match this power. In 1.08 firmware version or higher for the 7920, the DTPC (dynamic transmit power control) feature can be utilized, so don't have to worry about setting the data rate statically on the 7920 when using Cisco Aironet APs.
