I've installed AP1200 running IOS 12.2.13ja & 802.11g.

My notebooks are IBM/T40 with wireless card running 802.11b.

If I configure an AP at 11Mbps, can I use my notebooks running diferent protocol than AP ?.

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

Can you explain a litle more about what you mean about other protocol(s)? I'm not clear on what your question is.

Thanks,

Aaron

You can run 802.11b clients on an 802.11g Access-Point. 802.11g is backward compatible with 802.11b.

Using "b" clients on a "g" access point will slow down the 802.11g clients throughput somewhat, but the tradeoff for convienience is usually considered worth it.

Good Luck

Scott
