802.11n antenna spacing

I am still looking an answer for the antenna spacing when using 802.11n. When using a 1252 the antennas are marked A,B, and C. My question is what is the maximum distant between antenna A and C? Would it be 20 or 40 inches?

Minimum distance between left and right antennas should be around 5" and maximum should be around 20". The middle antenna should be in the middle.

Is this for indoor only?  I think it would be hard to mount 3 sector antennas within 20" of each other.
