851w - bridge wireless to another wireless

Hi there,

I have a 851w with c850-advsecurityk9, I was asking me..

How can I bridge my 851w to a linksys that share wireless... So I will be able to extended the network without wire.. my laptop will connect to the 851w then wil go to the internet throught the linksys

any one have a configuration exemple ?

Bridging is not standard so you need 2 devices of the same capabilities to do that. So that won't work for you.

If you configured your 851 for workgroup-bridge (not even sure it can, I don't have a 851 close to me that I can try with), it would only work for one client as the linksys AP doesn't support IAPP.

So I don't see many ways out for you.
