Hi

If you are sure that you dont have internet link problems, then provide the version of the access point version. This can be a bug.

The access point and WLC code versions would be helpful. Also, the authentication method would be useful. If using RADIUS authentication, is there any communication issue between the WLC and the RADIUS server?

What model of WLC?

Contoller is 9800-40

What version of software?

version is :17.9.3

What model(s) of AP?

Access Points :9130

Have you checked that all clients have OS and network drivers fully up to date?

Yes, Up to date.

Are all clients affected or only some?  Which type of device/OS version is affected?

See, Here all client are effecting but not same time.

Hello

The DNS cache can sometimes conflict with the device, resulting in Wi-Fi connection but no Internet connection issues.

Please check the DNS of your device once

Please reply if it helps you.

Good Luck

Then you need to troubleshoot methodically:
- check your config with output of "show tech wireless" using https://cway.cisco.com/wireless-config-analyzer/
- Run radioactive trace on affected client MAC address(es) to what that shows
- Check WLC logs
- Check DHCP server logs
There really isn't enough information to say any more than that.
If you can't work it out then open a TAC for Cisco assistance.

at the time of No internet issue, users are receiving APIPA IP.

So that tells you DHCP is failing.
You need to work out why and where the packets get dropped.

Thank you for your inputs!!

Hi,
Did you find the cause of this issue?
