9800-CL virtual WLC

Hi,

I wanted to know if there is any Cisco documentation on a n+1 HA design where I have one vWLC in one DC and the second one in a diff DC geographically different. The vWLC in use will be a 9800-CL. In this scenario the mgmt ip will also be different since they will be in 2 diff subnets right.

You would need to implement FlexConnect just like in AireOS. You would not be able to tunnel back any traffic, which you probably don’t want to do in the first place, since sinners are different. Just follow the general 9800-CL guide of setting up the controller, but also follow the 9800 FlexConnect guide.
