Hello,

Someone here can help me with that? We have bought the new cisco AP2802i, because is the new model of AP2602i. As we now the AP2602i need be converted to Autonomous Mode to access the configuration global mode (configure terminal). Now in this new model we can't convert it, because the new Autonomous mode is the Mobility Express. But I can't access the configuration terminal, that I need to configure for our project. Someone here can help us? We tried everything, debug commands, change to LWAPP after back to Mobility Express.

Thanks.

Hello,

I tried that command already, still the same. I don't have that option "console cli".

just copy and paste this command.

Above command is only for older APs (1600,1700,2600,2700...etc)

Hello,

I tried copy and paste and return me that:

New AP is running the CAPWAP image or in Mobility express ?

Above command will only work in capwap mode.

Sorry, still the same. Any idea?

Thank you!!

I just check the cisco docs and debug capwap console cli not supporte don newer APs(2800/3800).

you want to setup it as CAPWAP or ME AP ?

Yes, I have already check that. So, here we need setup like ME AP, because is the new autonomous mode, isn't? Because I need give some special configurations, that need access the global configuration mode (configure terminal). Like to create "aaa, radius group, etc". Then, the guys said to me to use the 2602i, but is not available because 2802i is the new release, the replacement. Thanks!

Currently AP in capwap mode and you want to setup as autonomus/mobility express so you need to convert it to Mobility express first and than only you can do the configguration!

here is the procedure:

Thanks for all those information, but unfortunately I can't configure that. Hopefully someone here have the same problem and can help us with a solution.

Thank you again.

Notice the AP's name are all in CAPs?  This means the AP is 2800/3800.

This model, Ap2800/3800, do not support Autonomous IOS.

Autonomous IOS has been superseded by Cisco Mobility Express.

Thanks for the answer. So, maybe this is gonna be a problem for me. Do you know if is possible to re-flash this AP2802i with controller based firmware? This moment I have Mobility Express Image/CAPWAP.

Or do you know guys if this version "1850i" is the same or can I access the configuration global mode (configure terminal)?

Thanks!
