Access Point Location

We presently have many 1200 AP's installed throughout the factory. We have them mounted on columns approximately 12-14 feet off the ground and we are not having any problems with this. I have read that they should be mounted higher(maybe 25ft). That would take our AP's right up into the truss level where there is more iron and probably more interference. Also, if we did need to 'touch' the AP for whatever reason, we would need a lift to access(now we can use a ladder). Any thoughts on or concerns on this topic?

During site survey , deciding antnna position , mounint , antenna orientiation is main point .

a) You should mount the AP depending on Antenna you use . Every Antenna

has coverage area pattern . Key is antenna should be pointed in direction

to users .

b) Mount the AP aways from Metalic objects . Metal can cause multipath and

intererence .

c) depending on ambient temp choose plastic model of AP or metalic model

of AP
