Active Gain in Cisco Antennas

PQR

Hi, please your help

I have a question:
When we talk about Active Gain we are talking about a signal booster.
Do the cisco antennas have this integrated?
For example the Aironet 2800 or Catalyst 9000 series?

Because in the WLC you can manage the power of the 1- 8, this indicates that they have an integrated amplifier that increases the output power of the AP signal?

Cisco access points don't have any amplifier integrated other that the standard one included on every radio transmitter.

The fact that you can change the transmission power from the radio interface is becuase you tune the maximum input power to that interface, but that is limited to a maximum set by the regulatory domain and the channel the AP is configured to use (23 dBm for indoor use minus internal antenna gain; 30 dBm for outdoors minus internal/external antenna gain).

All internal antennas from access points are passive, and all external ones that can be coupled to the pigtails from the access point are also passive.
