That one for 1242AG not 1242G;;;; (((, my AP is 1242G , I increased the gain , I used as dummy suggestion 5GHs antenna, I have changed also the power transmition , relocation , I turnd off all AP arround this AP to remove any kind of interference , I forced the AP to use channel 1,3, and 11 , also to use channel 10 also the same, the area only around 10 meters.
I used deferent wireless clients BB, Windows, CUIC, IPhone, etc

Dual RP-TNC antenna connectors for 2.4-GHz radios
but I dout in one thing , the2.4GHz antenna for this AP similer to the 5GHz antennas for 1262 AP,, some thing strange

Your photo looks kinda wierd. Your product ID is a 1242 but the WAP has only TWO (2) radio antenna sockets instead of FOUR (4).

I need to know the part number of the antenna, we know the AP.

Doesn't look like a 2.4ghz antenna if its a Cisco branded one.
02-28-2012 09:51 AM
how can get it ??
02-28-2012 09:52 AM
it should have been on the packing the antenna came in.
02-28-2012 09:55 AM
I dont have it , it is an old setup ,

than either your antenna went bad, which can happen. Or it's a 5GHz antenna.
Do you have another 1242 you can take the 2.4GHz antenna off of and test?
