im looking to convert this AP to Autonomous mode but 

i dont see the autonomous mode IOS software on 2700 but i do for 2600 ? 

do they operate in autonomous mode ?

No autonomous IOS (aIOS) is available for the 2700.

Check back regularly.  There is suppose to be a large IOS release scheduled for August 2014.

Version 8.0 of WLC code is now on CCO.  It has 15.3(3)JA lightweight code on the APs and is also up on CCO.

Presumably the autonomous code will appear soon (it's not there yet but can't be far..)
