AIR-LAP1252AG-A-K9 Power Loss

WLC 4404 5.2.157

WCS

I have been watching the event logs and I have an AP or two that seem to be restarting alot. When they do the log on the WLC states that the reason for last restart was "power loss". I swapped the AP with another power injector and the problem didnt follow. Would this be a hardware issue at this point? It happens every 3-5 hours....

Attached log (hopefully cut and pasted):

"I swapped the AP with another power injector and the problem didnt follow."

Sounds like the power injector could be faulty.

Well I thought that but I have random APs that do it now to. I can expect about 4-5 Access points to drop during the day. If they are close enough to each other it will cause an outage. I submitted a TAC request for help see if I can get it resolved.

Hi Guys,

Did anyone get the solution to this problem?

I'm with the same problem. I've changed the power from power injector to switch POE and check the comsuption on switch and the problem persist.

I have one WLC working fine on HQ site and I have this problem with remote APs working with H-REAP.

Hi Gilbert,

If your AP is on a power injector, go to All APs > Details for AP -> Advanced Tab -> Power Over Ethernet Settings and enable Power Injector State and click Apply.
