AIR-LAP1262N-A-K9 802.11b and b/g clients frequent disconnects

I have a new deployment with a Cisco 5508-50 controller running 7.0.220.0 code and 35 AIR-LAP1262N-A-K9 access points. Current legacy clients have trouble connecting and after connecting they may or may not drop off and have trouble connecting again. Any ideas would be appreciated.

can you try to disable 11n in the 802.11a and 802.11b/g parameters

Yes

Sent from my iPhone please excuse any errors or omissions.

We should start with figuring out why the clients are having trouble connecting or are being disconnected in the first place before making changes to the WLC.

Can you capture a client debug for one of the devices?

>config sessions timeout 0

>debug client

Start the debug and then try and connect the client.  If it fails, submit the outputs so we can see at what point the client failed to properly enter the RUN state.  If it connects OK, leave the debug running until it appears the client has been disconnected and then submit the outputs.

I am remote to the site and I will not be on site for a while.

You may also want to check if Band-select feature is enabled , which results in b/g client connection delayed based on the configuration.

Thanks

Here is what I got  debugging one client.

Can you see if the interface configured for the WLAN is correct and the DHCP server is properly configured for the interface

Please poset show wlan and show interface detailed

Thanks

NikhiL

The interface for the WLAN is the management interface. The customer has a flat network at the facility.I just found out thR Dhcp for the interface points to the controller but the dhcp server is on another network.

Sent from my iPhone please excuse any errors or omissions.

Did you attempt to connect your wireless client after you started this debug?  It looks like you ran it for about 3 seconds and at no point did the client even send an association request.  Can you also post your interface summary?

>show interface summary

Let us know if pointing the DHCP server to the correct interface resolved the issue

If I change the parameter will it disrupt clients connected to the WLAN?

If you change the WLAN parameters it will disrupt the clients, but if the clients are not getting connected properly you can change the paremeters.

show interface summary" output is not there in what you have pasted
