Aironet 1200 Access Point & Ping Test

I have an Aironet 1200 Access Point and a laptop with an Aironet 350 Adapter setup for a site survey. I would like to do a continuous ping while I'm conducting the site survey. The site survey works fine but I can't ping the access point. Does anyone have any ideas? Access point and laptop are on same net.

Hi there,

I would try and do a continuous ping to a device on the wired side (I use the Gateway) so when you associate with an AP you are sure it will forward traffic to the wired network. I run into situations where you could associate to an AP but no traffic could be passed through. Pinging the device would show you that right away.

(There are 2 situations though, when doing a site survey and when doing a QA for a installed network)
