Aironet 1200: Initial Configuration

Can anyone tell me how they are configuring an Aironet 1200 using HyperTerminal? I start a hyperterminal session and it seems like all that is happening is the cursor is blinking. All I need to do is configure an ip address, subnet mask, and gateway.

If you are getting just a flashing cursor try reloading the AP do you see it boot up on the hyper terminal screen ? This will prove your hyper term config

if so then type s for setup then ex for express setup and then you are away
