Hi all,
I have a strange problem and I hope someone here can point me in the right direction.
I have two Aironets 350 bridges.
One is configured as a ROOT Bridge, the other as a non-ROOT Bridge w/o clients.
Both run 12.0.5
I have configured the unit (the ROOT Bridge) not to broadcast its SSID but is still does.
Also MAC authentication is configured but still any client can connect like MAC auth. is not configured at all.
I am at a loss.
Sounds familiar to anyone?
Thx
Jake

In order.
Aironet 350 Bridge.
If you set the ROOT bridge to not advertise the SSID. It should work. But if you did not set the NON-ROOT bridge to the same. You will still see the SSID. Turn off the NON-ROOT SSID advertisement.
I never got the MAC filter to work right.
I used the Manatory WEP, instead. And that seems to work.

I will check the SSID setting on both bridges and see what happens.
Same goes for giving MAC auth. / WEP another go.
Thx for your reply.

Hi Jake,
Use Filtering by mac address, and use Data radio encryption ( WEP) and choose "full encryption". This will allow only bridges with same WEP key to associate.
