Hi all,

Is it possible to deploy Aironet 600 with 3850 switch? Or I really need 2500/5500/7500 WLC?

Thank you!

NO, As per below OEAP600 is not supported by 3850. So you need any other controller model(like 2504, 5508,etc) to support OEAP600 series.

Q. Which models of access points can a Cisco Catalyst 3850 switch support?

A. The following models of access points are supported: LAP1040, LAP1142, LAP1260, CAP3500, CAP3600, CAP2600, and CAP1600.

Hello Adrian,

This office extend AP can be placed directly to a dmz/router with switch in fashion. The fire wall should allow the capwap channel between you Ap and remote WLC , follow the below deployment

I meant to use it with 3850 as a WLC
