Although PoE power is provided to AP, AP is 'Notconnect' status on switch.

Hello,

I have an issue related Access Points.

# Situation

- Some AP (12 EA) are connected to switch. Power is provided to them.

However, When I checked interface status using 'show int status', It looks 'notconnect' status.

Of course, I can't check mac address on each interface using 'show mac address int gix/x/x'.

- LED is blinking 'Red' and 'Green'.

- Only 12 APs have problem. Other AP can connect to same switch without any problem.

- Remaining power is enough in switches.

- There is no interface error on each interfaces. It's not a cable problem.

- WLC License : Max Count : 150 / Current Count : 129 / Remaining Count : 21

- All APs are in same VLAN.

# Things that I did

- Changed port. (eg : gi1/0/1 --> gi1/0/20, gi1/0/1 --> Gi2/0/5..)

In this case, it rarely works. However, I couldn't understand this situation.

  All interface have same configuration!

- Reloaded switch. Although I reloaded switch, problem wasn't resolved.

Could you please give me some advice?

How would anyone know if there is a Layer 1 or 2 issue?

My eyes have been witness to the effects of one or two of lines and the operators didn't know how to troubleshoot because nothing appears in the logs of the switches.

It is like enabling BPDU guard and then enabling auto-recovery of links (in error disable) due to BPDU guard.

Ok ... I've had enough of this.

Please explain what each command does.

I know what the answer is/are, but I want to hear it from you.

Either one of these two config lines can make troubleshooting very, very difficult in situations like this.

Hello,

Thank you so much for replying.

 no logging event link-status
 no logging event power-inline-status

Both command are used for preventing exceeded log from port.

We applied it on all access/user port.

For the test, I enabled this function. However, There was no special log.

Mar 15 23:50:17.129 UTC: %ILPOWER-5-POWER_GRANTED: Interface Gi1/0/4: Power granted

Switch_xxxxx#show power inline | in Gi1/0/4
Gi1/0/4 auto on 15.4 Ieee PD 4 30.0

Plug a computer into the same port (use the same cable). Is the PC getting a valid IP address?

Hello Sir,

I checked all port that look "Ieee PD".

There is a 'Open' status on all ports except Gi1/0/14.

Please find attached file.

Might it be related to Layer 1 problem?

Hold on ... Nearly all the ports are all showing faults nearest the switch.

WTF.
I'd be expecting one or two.

The "closest" fault has a distance of "0" meters.
