AP 1242AG passing DHCP requests

I have 2 1242AG APs setup with one SSID and no vlans configured.  The APs are connected to a switch along with my DHCP server.  Clients are able to connect to the SSID but are unable to get an IP from the server.  Clients can plug into the switch and get an IP.  If I configure a static IP on the wireless card, the client works fine.

Is there something I'm missing on the AP to allow DHCP requests to pass through?  IPhelper?

Here is the AP info:

AIR-AP1242AG-A-K9
12.4(21a)JA1

Thanks.

John

Yes you "have".  By default it's VLAN 1.

Right-o.  Is the link from the AP to switch configured as a dot1q Trunk?

It is connected to a Cisco Small Business Pro ESW-540 switch.  All ports are configured for Trunk mode and dot1q from what I can see.

Can you post your config of both?

Are you able to reach the internet when you statically configure an ip?

Yes.  With a static IP, WiFi users are perfectly fine.

I went through the port wizard on the switch state that APs are connected.  Waiting for staff at that location to test again.

Hello,

Please, any fix to issue?

Thx

Alan

If you did not configure any vlans then configure the ports to be access ports not Trunks.
#sw access
#sw access vlan 1
#no shut

That will do it
