Good afternoon,
I'm trying to set up this AIR-AP1572EAC-BK9 AP and while it appears to see our WLC (5508 model) it gets stuck at this step as listed in this article: https://community.cisco.com/t5/wireless-and-mobility/cisco-1570-outdoor-ap-not-register-with-wlc-2504/td-p/3414462
I've added the mac address to the WLC but still no luck. Any other ideas?

Alright, I've got it figured out. Along with adding that supplemental image to the controller I managed to enter the wrong mac-address for this AP. Soon as I entered the correct one the AP went through the discovery process again and was able to connect to the controller...should've double checked that mac-address! Thanks everyone.

We are also using version 8.5.151.0 on our WLC.

paste the output of these commands:
sh sysinfo from wlc
sh version from AP
sh time from wlc
and paste the complete bootup process from AP console.

did you add the correct mac address of AP in WLC ?
without bootup process from AP console, we will not able to find the exact root case.
Try to get console access to AP and paste the complete logs.

is 1572 AP configured as bridge mode?
you can verify with: show capwap client config on AP. If yes, you need to add mac address to WLC mac address list.

The AP is in bridge mode and I've added its mac address to Security>AP Policies.

We have another 1572 on a different controller and its version is 15.3(3)JF10. All of our controllers use the same software version. Will I need to manually upgrade the new 1572 to the JF10 code since JC1?
