Hello All,

I'm having trouble resetting my wireless access point back to factory default settings.  I'm using AIR-CAP1602.  MAC OSX 10.10.3

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Please let me know.

Hi Denniz,

thank you for your reply.

All AP are Aironet 1600 series.

What is the version of Mobility Express compatible with my AP?

Thanks.

Sadly, the 1600 series is .11n and is not comaptible with Mobility Express, you will need a controller or a service contract to use the access points.

To use a Mobility Express solution with all your AP1600's you would need to buy an AP from model 1815/1830/1850/2800/3800/4800 and run AireOS 8.5 at maximum.

Check this release notes.

Ok, thank you all.

if I turned the access points into standalone mode, could I configure them with VLANs?

Thanks again

A contract is basically you paying for support.  This allows you access to the downloads.  From what the others already posted, you can't use the 1600 as a standalone, so if you don't have a controller, the ap is basically useless.

Yes, you could use ssid to vlan mapping or EAP!
