AP 3502i don't join Virtual Wireless Controller

Hello all !

I have a problem with some 3502i

Actually, we have a Cisco 5508 that i just upgraded to 7.6.130.0, with 17 Cisco 3502i

I want to transfer theses AP on a Virtual Wireless Controller which is in 8.1.102.0

But i have theses errors on the virtual :
     *spamApTask7: Aug 20 10:41:41.611: %CAPWAP-3-AP_DB_ALLOC: capwap_ac_db.c:150 The system is unable to alloc AP entry in database for 172.21.99.116:14163
     *spamApTask7: Aug 20 10:41:41.611: %LWAPP-3-LICENSE_ACQUIRE_ERR: spam_lrad.c:334 Failed  to acquire license from the licensing module

Anybody has a idea about this ?

I try to downgrade the virtual controller from 8.1.102 to 7.6.130 and it's ok, my AP join the virtual controller.

Next step is to re-upgrade to 8.1.102 and see if the AP remain on it :)

Hi,

first check if you have enough AP license or not. Alos paste the output of this command from vWLC: show license summary

You can try to enable evaluation license by using this command: (Cisco Controller) >license activate ap-count eval and try again to join.

Thanks for your answer, but has i said, it works perfectly in 7.6.130

But if i try to upgrade to 8.1.102 i have the errors write in the first post.

If i re-downgrade to 7.6.130 all is good

So i think it's a bug in V8 and after ...
