Good Morning, a customer is deploying a campus solution completely Cisco based.
For the wireless part, they bought just one C9800-L-F controller and more o less 25 9120 AX controller integrated APs.
They ask me a possible solution with one of the APs as secondary (standby) controller with the C9800 as primary: is this a valid and
reliable setup?
Any suggestion is appreciated!
Thanks in advance

- I don't recommend it because the EWC solution is being phased out : https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/wireless/embedded-wireless-controller-catalyst-access-points/wireless-ewc-access-point-eol.html
Of course you would only be able to do N+1 High Availability and no HA-SSO , but because of functional differences (EWC restrictions) compared to a real wireless controller even N+1 would break for certain functions, so it becomes a no go,
