Hi guys,

Why I have this message always generating in my AP:

Mar 21 11:12:05.823: IP ARP: sent rep src 172.16.16.10 0042.68ba.c1d4,
dst 172.16.16.10 ffff.ffff.ffff BVI1

this IP address of AP?!

and the IP address of AP in my core sw ARP table is there but age time always Zero!

Any Idea for that plz?

Thanks

Mohammad

I don´t know but it could be some debug log.

try command "undebug all"

is not related to debug because the AP always send ARP request to core sw without stop and the age time in ARP table in Core sw is 0 for that AP.

age time is how long the record is in ARP table.

By default after 4 hours is deleted.
So 0 means that ARP request was sent 0 minutes ago = it is actual

It is obvious if devices communicate together

yes the default time is hours until renew the ARP table record but it gaves me every seconds ARP request to my core switch and this annoying me.

Why this happened!

what is output of following command on AP?

sh int bvi1 | i ARP

the ARP time in AP is stable but the ARP time in Core sw is zero I don't know  why?

the output in AP :

AP6c20.5666.e7fc#sh int bvi1 | i ARP
Encapsulation ARPA, loopback not set
ARP type: ARPA, ARP Timeout 04:00:00

and then what is timeout on core switch ?

try above command again on correct port on core switch.

you can change it in interface configuration with command "arp timeout ...."

Otherwise I don´t know. Try search if it is not some bug.

i checked the arp timeout in interfaces is 4 hours!

I don't know what is the issue here?
