Unplug an Access Point and you see it in WLC and in PI, but customer said he didn’t get email alert. They are getting some disassociation and flood alerts from the WLC so it’s not broke completely.
They were hoping to use the Disassociation Alerts from WLC to prevent AP theft. However it didn’t work as planned.
Any feedback on this? Usually it just works from my point of view. They opened a TAC case SR625732403
but not much so far.
Cisco TAC is gathering logs, etc. We verified snmp and via SSH show trapxxxx on the WLC. We see the alerts in the PI Alarms/Events viewer. They suggested a reboot of WLC/PI which we’ve done.
WLC 7.3.112.0 and PI 1.2.1.012

I would make sure your case is with the NMS team at TAC. "If" you're seeing the alerts in PI, then the WLC has performed it's duty of sending the trap to PI. As far as e-mail notification, that would be 100% PI's responsibility to deliver those messages. I'm not sure if you can view details on smtp or what messages are or are not being sent. Are "other" e-mail notifications being delivered properly?

Looks like TAC found a bug with "Hide Acknowledged" or "Hide Cleared Alarms". These are new APs out of box and have never been cleared or acknowledged (this is a 1 man IT shop). Once we unchecked these two boxes everything started working properly. TAC is researching.
