I have WLC 2504 and AP 3602. The AP discovers the wlc downloads the image from WLC but after reboot it fails to join the the WLC.

WLC is having IOS of 7.2.XX.XX

Have any one faced similar kind of Issue?

Has the AP ever joined the WLC? Make sure that the time is correct on the WLC and that the country code you configured on the WLC allows for the model of access point to join. Also place the ap in the same subnet as the WLC management for now just to seeing the ap joins.

For simplicity,

WLC and AP are in same subnet .DHCP is maintained in WLC so the AP is getting ip from internal DHCP and downloads successfully the new image .

Console into the AP and post the output from when you power up the AP.

Did you makes sure the time is set correctly on the WLC?

Did you verify that the country code configured on the WLC is the same for the country code that the AP has been manufactured for?

These two have to be verified before the AP will join.

Here is the log error of AP

Can you post the full output when the ap is power up. The logs show June 16th, is the time set correctly?

I found the issue. The country code was wrong.

Thanks for help

My first post mentioned to check for that, so I assumed that after you posted, you verified that.

Thanks,

Scott
