10 years ago, Controller 5508 was set up with 12 APs (1142N)

Yesterday, the controller was upgraded from version 6 to 7.

9 APs is OK, 1 is OK after reset, 2 are failed (not joined) even after reset

i found this post very similar with my case,  https://community.cisco.com/t5/wireless/cisco-air-lap1142n-e-k9-cannot-join-the-vwlc/m-p/3698319#M207261

But i cannot find any download files from cisco https://software.cisco.com/download/home/278875356

any advice?  Thanks a lot

Follow the guide.  If it doesn't specify to remove the commands, don't.  The guide will explain exactly what needs to be done.  I don't see anything about reverting it back.  You always can test that and bounce the ap and see if it comes back, or run the show commands to check the expiration of the certificate.

Upgrade the firmware to something more recent.  1142 are supported until 8.3.X.X

Just to add, always look at the console output and provide that if you still can’t find the error. The output will always provide enough info in which you can search the forum or internet for the fix.

Thanks a lot.   It is OK after running

config ap lifetime-check mic enable
config ap lifetime-check ssc enable

do i need to reverse the above commands after APs are joined?

Have the certificates in APs being updated after APs joined the controller?

Thanks a lot.
