AP not associated in WLC

Hi,

New AP 1542D is connected and I can ping the device but it is not associated in WLC. I have added in flex connect group. Can anyone tell what I need to do?

To start with, you give a really small amount of information.

What did you configure so the AP can find the WLC? Dit you put it in the same VLAN? Do you have option 43 in DHCP or DNS set with CISCO-CAPWAP-CONTROLLER.local-domain or CISCO-LWAPP-CONTROLLER.local-domain? If yes, do you see log messages about an AP trying to join? Y

Chris,

We have a default template, so the SNMP, DHCP, and DNS are configured correctly in all APs. All APs are connected and only this AP is not associated.

Did you configure the switch interface which you connected the new AP like the WLC's switch interface??

Pozoteleco,

The switch interface configuration is correct. The AP is pinging and responding to the network, the only thing I have a problem is it is not associating with WLC. Usually, when we added it to flexconnect group, it will appear for general configuration, now we have connected to flexconnect group but it's showing as not associated.

Hi, now the AP is associated. The AP was not added in a group and controller.
