Hi Guys,
I cannot find few access points in WLC 9800
All APs are connected to switch and all interfaces are also in same VLAN.
The thing is when is shutdown the switch interface, One AP is shown less in count in WLC 9800. When I turn on switch port AP count list is increased to one in WLC.
But when I try to find AP with its name in all Access point list in controller i cannot find it.

Can you explain a bit more detail about what model 9800 and firmware version? Also is this a new install or existing and has it worked before? What model access points and did you validate that it is compatible using the Wireless Matrix guide?
There is additional info in the guides that you need to make sure is done prior to access points joining. This is not like AireOS where you get the 9800 up where you can ssh and https to and think that ap's will join.

Model is C9800-40-K9
Firmware version is 17.3.2a
License: air-network-essentials ; air-dna-essentials
Before when ever we were adding new APs, they were added smoothly, All we need to do is connect them in a switch and configure the particular port of that switch in vlan and thats it. AP would join controller and we change it name as per policy
APs we are using is 9130AXI-E. This is the first time facing this, AP is connected to switch, there is no issue in caballing as there are no CRC errors, that port is also configured in VLAN. Also AP adds in count but when we find it in AP list. No AP is there

what is the total AP count. how many are missing. what's the AP license count on WLC.
are you able to track the AP in question and its switch port interface -check its cable, power, ip/dhcp, show capwap

Total AP installed in network are ore than 110. Only 4 are missing
Did everything...caballing is also fine
APs join WLC as I can see count number increases
but when I find it in list that AP is no more there

I have the same issue, on the dashboard I have 112 AP's total connected. If I go to configuration, wireless setup, basic, it only shows 108 AP's but all the AP's are listed under AP Provisioning. If I remove and add back the AP, it still does not show the correct connected AP's under the basic tab.
I opened up a ticket with TAC, they saw the issue, tried to troubleshoot for 3 hours and no luck. Any suggestions?

Have you made sure your IOS is up to date (TAC recommended below)? (what version are you using?)
Have you tried a different browser?
Have you tried clearing browser/cache/cookies and/or private browser window?
Have you been through the best practices guide (below) - in particular number of VTY required for GUI to function reliably?
Have you checked your config with https://cway.cisco.com/wireless-config-analyzer/ - use the output from "show tech wireless"?
And finally - use the CLI whenever possible - quicker and easier than GUI once you are familiar with it.

Any chance you could have some APs with the same name by mistake?
See other discussions about duplicate names. You'll need to rename the duplicates to avoid the conflicting names.

I had similar issue experienced in Chrome browser. All I had to do was clear browser cache and cookies which fixed the issue for me.
