AP1042N is not working with Location

Hi,

I have a site with 3 AP. all of them are 1042N model.

I created a new map for this site, and the heat map is shown. the problem is that no client displayed on the map.

This error came up on the location server event log -

Failed to create heat map for MAC: xx:xx:xx:xx:xx Reason: Failed to find any  APs in the database for a RSSI list

I tried to add a new access point from the same model, and the status didn't changed, still no clients.

when I added a different AP model - 1242-AG the cliend came up to the heat map!

any idea what can cause this issue?

versions -

WLC 5508 - 7.0.116.0

WCS- 7.0.240.0

Location 2710- 6.0.202.0

Thanks

Meir

Your location appliance doesn't support the WLC or the WCS code and maybe also since the 1042 is newer than the 1242. On the code you are running, you need an MSE.
