Hi,

I am woundering if someone could help me, actually I was trying to upgrade my ap1200 with the latest image (c1200-k9w7-tar.122-15.JA.tar), while upgrading, it stops automatically, Now when I rebbot it, it show as below:

ap: Xmodem file system is available.

flashfs[0]: 2 files, 1 directories

flashfs[0]: 0 orphaned files, 0 orphaned directories

flashfs[0]: Total bytes: 7741440

flashfs[0]: Bytes used: 2048

flashfs[0]: Bytes available: 7739392

flashfs[0]: flashfs fsck took 7 seconds.

Reading cookie from flash parameter block...done.

auto-negotiation takes 10000 milli-seconds to complete

ERROR: timeout waiting for auto-negotiation to complete

ERROR: fail to bring ethernet link up

The system has been encountered an error initializing

ethernet port. You may need to check hardware

The system is ignoring the error and continuint boot.

If you interrupt the system boot process, the following

commands will reinitialize ethernet, tftp, and finish

loading the operating system software:

ether_init

tftp_init

boot

The system is unable to boot automatically because there

are no bootable files to boot.

or if I use command dir, it shows as below:

List of filesystems currently registered:

flash[0]: (read-write)

xmodem[1]: (read-only)

null[2]: (read-write)

I think that there is no file in flash.

If I am in this situation, how can I upload the file on ap1200 via console, I have also tried the MODE Button procedure but it does not work at all, and I am getting two red lead on my ap1200.

I am hoping to get the soultion ASASP, am very much upset.

regards

Khaleefa

Hi there,

I had the same problem the other day and posted on here. Check out the post called firmware to IOS problem. it explains how to get the image back onto the ap.

Alo noticed that the ap failed to bring up the ethernet port, was it connected to the network?

Anyway hope it helps you out...
