The access point running 12.2(15)JA works in our environment. If I ugrade the access point to 12.2(15)XR2 then clients no longer reveive DHCP addresses. If I downgrade the AP to 12.2.(15)JA then clients receive DHCP addresses. The configuration file is atttached and is used for both versions. Have I missed a command change between the JA and XR2 versions to allow DHCP to work? Any help will be appreciated.

We had lots of troubles AP1200 not passing Client DHCP requests.
With 12.3(2)JA it did not work. After downgrading to 12.2(15)XR2 it works.
There shall be a new Version early february ?

Can you tell me which SSID you are unable to get an IP address from the DHCP server?
You define layer 3 mobility network on the AP. Layer 3 mobility network is not supported in 12.2(15)JA. It is supported in 12.2(15)XR.

We do not use DHCP on the Infrastructure SSID, all other ssid's require clients to receive DHCP addresses. The mobility network command is removed from our later configurations as we do not use the WLSM, it was inserted into the configuration template by the GUI interface, I am not sure of the version, and we failed to remove it.
In testing the SSID's WiFi Projectors, WiFi-r814 and Faculty would not assign DHCP addresses to clients although the client would be marked as AUTH when you used the "show dot11 assoc" command.
We then issued the archive /force-reload /overwrite tftp........ command. when the AP rebooted te clients would receive DHCP assigned addresses. We then reloaded XR2 and the clients would not receive addresses. On the advice of TAC we have hard coded all interace BVI1 ip addresses. One of our concerns was that the client was not being authenticated to join the network and was blocked from receiving a DHCP address but that does not seem to be the case. We use Cisco ACS 3.3.22 and a wds that TAC advised us last week to upgrade to 12.3(2)JA2. After this upgrade the problem with XR2 is still present.

What is the service request number? "AUTH" in show dot as means that the AP is waiting for authentication request frame from the wireless client.
If you do not use WLSM, please remove "wlccp ap wds ip address" from the configuration.
You need to make sure that the infrastructure AP is registered to the WDS AP. do a show wlccp wds ap in the wds ap and make sure that the infrastructure AP registers to the WDS AP.
Under "ssid Faculty", you need to change "authentication open" to "authentication open eap eap_methods" The current set up opens a door for hackers.
You need to post the configuration of WDS AP. If the configuration is attached to the TAC Service Request, I will look at there.
