Hi,
my AP3802 are running with 8.5.135, when trying to update them via mobility express update function i can see that all APs successfully download the new tar via tftp but fail with "no space left".
Even fully clearing /storage or flash: doesn't make a differance. Maybe because flash is just 57.5M and the tar 66.2M (AIR-AP3800-K9-ME-8-10-121-0.tar):
Filesystem Size Used Available Use% Mounted on
flash 57.5M 164.0K 54.3M 0% /storage
Even downgrading to 8.2.161.0 capwap (ap3g3-k9w8-tar.153-3.JC8.tar) as some on the net suggest doesn't work out.
Also other versions like 8.8.100 (AIR-AP3800-K9-ME-8-8-100-0.tar) show "no space left"
Any idea on how i can update the APs?

I had the same problem when tryed to upgrade directly to 8.10.x.
The workaround I used was to convert AP to ME 8.5 using only the ap3g3 image extracted from the .tar file, and then upgrade to ME 8.10.

Thats what i did with the e.g. AIR-AP3800-K9-ME-8-10-121-0.zip
the corresponding file inside the dir is ap3g3, same as AIR-AP3800-K9-ME-8-10-121-0.tar
Inside both archives are the following files:
- btldr.img
- file_hashes
- final_has
- info
-info.ver
-iosap_info
- me_image
- part.bin (=> 63,5MB > flash size)
But, part.bin is bigger than internal flash storage
These files are also available on tftp in root folder, how do i update the APs with these files? One by one? Or is ist enough to transfer part.bin, but how do i tell to install oder flash?
Sry, I'm a bit lost...thank for your help so far

Hi, looks like I've to set up an WLC :-/ but all it does is like ME does, tell APs to use tftp to downlad tar...
Here the output of show flash:

@cquesadacyl ths is detailed upgrade process:
Download Lightweight AP tar file (ap3g3-k9w8-tar.153-3.JJ1.tar) and upgrade the AP with:
archive download-sw /reload tftp://[IP]/ap3g3-k9w8-tar.153-3.JJ1.tar
Download latest Mobility Express 8.10 train version with all zipped AP images (AIR-AP3800-K9-ME-8-10-171-0.zip);
Extract ALL fileS from inside zip; update AP with ap3g3 image using:
archive download-sw /reload tftp://[IP]/AIR-AP3800-K9-ME-8-10-171-0/ap3g3
Download latest 8.5 Mobility Express image (AIR-AP3800-K9-ME-8-5-182-0.tar) and upgrade AP with:
ap-type mobility-express tftp://[IP]/AIR-AP3800-K9-ME-8-10-171-0.tar
Reload AP and after booting check version with show version command to validate:
The AP Image type is now MOBILITY EXPRESS IMAGE
The AP Configuration is now MOBILITY EXPRESS CAPABLE
