We are getting multiple clients associating and disassociating.
Clients will associate then disassociate then client authentication failure then associates only to repeat. This happens continually every few seconds.
Currently clients are using WEP. Multiple vendors from cisco 802.11b/g PCMCIA cards, Lexmark 802.11g print servers, Wyse thin clients, PCs with Proxim 802.11n USB adapters. Multiple APs, two 5508 controllers.
RSSI is averaging between -45 and -50. Clients are sticking mostly to one AP and not roaming between APs. APs are averaging 8 clients. APs are 1142s.

Sounds like a key mismatch ?
With static WEP, you can associate to the SSID even with the wrong key but you will not understand traffic that is exchanged, so clients would leave for that reason.

Thanks for the reply. The client will associate and work, just keeps repeating the cycle. However this office is connected by 1310 bridges. Bridges are showing excessive retrasmits. We're monitoring the bridges now, thinking this is actually where the problem is. I didn't suspect the bridges before. We are also sending VoIP across the bridges without issue and only wireless data clients were reporting connectivity problems. Looking further some wired data clients are also disconnecting.
We've recently moved to CISCO, still installing their equipment. All comments, tips etc... appreciated.
Thanks again.
