hi everyone...
i am doing some project under the title design a global authentication system for distributed wireless neworks which involve " authentication through RADIUS server " in which teacher told us that you have to made virtual circuits b/w switches with which access points are connected and then configure all the access point in a centrallized server.
we have to implement our project on our university WiFi. now we have 5 departments in our university and all the devices like switches and access points are of cisco.
now need help ???
can anyone mention the steps to do it.
and can anyone provide me some useful link and materials regarding this.

                                                                                thanks.......

Can you provide more info... You talking about 802.1x for wireless users or devices that connect to a switch?

we have five departments in our university each department having a cisco switch with which cisco access points are connected total access points are 15 each having a different key.

now output of our project will be like that..

if any one having a valid key out of all access poins keys he will be able to get connected to any access point with that key.

for example if one having key of access point#1 he can get connected to any access point (1-15) with key of access point#1.

teacher told us you have to first configure virtual circuits on these switches and then configure all the access points in a centrallized server.

Do you have Active Directory ? You can use 802.1x with the radius server to return attributes for each department.
