Authentication rejected ReasonCode: 15

Hello Experts,

I am facing the issue with the scanners...

here is the error:

Client Deauthenticated: MACAddress:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:x Base Radio MAC:yy:yy:yy:yy:yy:yy Slot: 0 User Name: unknown Ip Address: unknown Reason:Authentication rejected because of challenge failure ReasonCode: 15

As its issue with 4-way handshake timeout.

This means that during the initial phase of authentication the wireless client didn't respond or didn't respond within the time frame.

so i changed the timers..

2000--> 4000 and 2 --> 4

EAPOL-Key Timeout (in milliSeconds)
EAPOL-Key Max Retries

Still the same issue....what i can do to resolve it ?

  Which authentication method are you using?

WPA with TKIP (for old scanners )and WPA2/AES - PSK

Probably the best way to troubleshooting this is using a wireless sniffer. You had to have some way to see the packets back and forth between client and AP.

are APs in local or flexconnetc mode ?

as Flavio mentioned,, do a wireless sinffer and analyze  the packets bettween WLC and AP.
