Hello guys,
i have a little problem and i hope you can help me.
In our Office we use 4 Cisco AIR-AP1852E-E-K9 where one of them is AP and Controller (Mobility Express) at the same time.
We deployed one WLAN where everything works fine and the Clients which connect to this WLAN have speedtest results of more then 100MBIT/s download speed.
The Problem is, i wanna deploy a second WLAN on the same Access Points but at the moment i deploy the second WLAN the clients which are connected to this new deployed WLAN only reach about 5Mbit/s Download speed.
The Configuration of these two wlans is exactly the same besides the ssid and the password for wpa2 personal.
I just dont understand how one wlan can reach 100Mbit/s Download speed and the other one only about 5 or less Mbit/s when they are configurated completely the same besides the authentification of the user.
I hope that somebody can help me with this
Have a nice weekend.
Greetings
Tobias

Agreed the config looks identical so no reason why they should behave differently.
Have you tried obvious things like rebooting the AP (the standard workaround to a multitude of bugs)?
Otherwise I think you need a TAC case to progress it.

- Can you , for instance, from the client perspective , verify that 5Ghz connections are made or can be made also on the particular second WLAN ?

Hello,
thank you for your reply.
Yes, the clients can connect with 5Ghz to both of the Wlans, ich checked in on my mobile device and on the controller.

- What software version is the Mobility Express controller running ?

Software Version: 8.10.151.0

So you should also try 8.10.171.0 just in case it's a known bug that's been fixed already.

At CLI do "config paging disable" then "show wlan summary" and then "show wlan <wlan ID>" for each of those 2 WLANs and attach as a text file - do not paste in the long output here.

Hello,
i attached a file with the output fo the command "show wlan summary" and "show wlan <wlan ID>" for both of the WLANs.
The wifi that causes problems is that with the ID 2
Thanks for your help.

- Share the below output and or compare for 2 different clients , one on the fast-wlan and one on the slow-wlan , look at available and or used data rates and or other differences if observed.
show client detail <mac address>

Hello Guys,
i wanna say thank you very much. Ich can not believe it but actually rebooting de Controller fixed the problem ...
I am a little bit ashamed to be honest that i didnt try it earlier.
I will look at the behaviour until tomorrow and if it still works i am going to tag rrudling´s reply as a solution.
Have a nice day.
