I have a new Cisco Aironet 1131G Wireless Access point. It is picking up an IP address and I can ping that address. However, I can't access it via the web-based GUI or the CLI. I have preformed the reset. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Hi,
I cannot access means what?? are you not able to go to CONFIG T prompt from CLI?? and if you are in the same subnet as that of the AP, are you not able to open up the GUI?? if you are not able to then, issue the command "show version" on the AP CLI and see if your image is "RCVKW8" image. if so u need to convert the same to IOS using the below method..
lemme know if this answered your question..

Are you trying to access it using Telnet/SSH or using a console cable?
When you try to access through a web browser have you tried http and https and did you get a prompt for username and password? If not, then this feature may be disabled on the AP.
Also, have you tried both telnet and ssh? If those did not work, did you get any messages.
What are you using for CLI...SecureCRT, Tera Term, Etc.?
Have you tried connecting using a console cable? This can typically be the best option when trying to get information.
Is this a password issue, or do you just not have access?
Need more information.

Turned out that we had purchased a Lightweight Access Point in error. Returning for the Autonomous Access Point. Thank you for your suggestions.
