I'm new to the networks.
I need to set up a network to connect my PC to its data acquisition device (usually connected via LAN, static IP).
PC is 200 m far from daq device. Between daq device and PC there are several metal structures. I have already tried with industrial wifi but signal is too weak and PC can't see daq device.
I think i need a Repeater and I was looking for Aironet 1540.
Can i use it as access point, near my pc, as client, near daq device and as Repeater somewhere in bewteen ?
If it isn't enough can i add in series another repeater ?
Thank's

You can try extending the signal, this not give 100% results, better is site survey (but cost bit) - instead you can try with External AP like Aironet 1540. should able to work.
Not sure how far signal can boost based on the metal structure.

It is called Point-to-Point Wireless Bridge.
And here is the kicker:
The P2P Bridge will work if there a WLC. Unfortunately, Cisco's documentation about P2P wireless bridge is hopelessly incomplete and incorrect.
