Hi!
May we know what is the best way to use wireless access points for our Internal domain users as well as visitors? Is creating multiple SSIDs better like one for internal users and another one for visitors or have one SSID and make different policies for domain connected users and visitors?
Is it possible to have only one SSID and make different policies for Domain Connected Laptops and visitors. If yes then which model supports this?
Thanks.

Hi ,
Yes you can have same ssid for both type of user but they should map to different dynamic interface .
Like
Vlan 10 for laptops
Vlan20 for visitors.
R u using wlc ??
Do u hav any policy server like ACS or ISE?
Provide some more info.

Hi!
No we don't have any policy server? We need to connect these APs directly to our cisco switch. Can we also have two different ip ranges for both the networks?
Thanks.

What model access points do you have? I'm guessing they are also going to connect to a managed PoE switch? Do you have Microsoft AD domain?

Hi!
The model number is WAP4410N.
Secondly, as per our experience if we enable internet access for the ip of wireless access point, all the clients connected behind that ap should be able to connect to internet without adding them separately in the internet router or gateway. This is not working with our Access Point. We have enabled internet access for the AP but clients still cannot access internet. The clients are getting IP Addresses from our internal windows 2008 DHCP server.
Thanks.
